Common use

Natdac combines sofosbuvir, daclatasvir, and tenofovir disoproxil to treat chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, particularly genotypes 1–6. It works by targeting different stages of the viral life cycle, inhibiting viral RNA polymerase and other viral enzymes, which helps to clear the infection and prevent liver damage.

Dosage and direction

Natdac is taken orally, usually once daily, with or without food, as directed by your healthcare provider. Swallow tablets whole; do not crush or chew. The duration of treatment depends on the type of hepatitis C infection, previous treatment history, and presence of liver complications. Regular monitoring of liver function and viral load is recommended.

Precautions

Inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease, HIV infection, or other chronic illnesses. Monitor for signs of fatigue, jaundice, or unusual bleeding. Avoid alcohol or other hepatotoxic substances during treatment.

Contraindications

Do not use Natdac if allergic to sofosbuvir, daclatasvir, tenofovir disoproxil, or any component of the tablet. It is contraindicated in severe liver impairment or if used with certain medications that interact with the drug components.

Possible side effect

Common side effects include headache, fatigue, nausea, diarrhea, and insomnia. Rare but serious side effects may include liver toxicity, severe allergic reactions, or heart rhythm disturbances. Seek medical attention if severe symptoms occur.

Drug interaction

Natdac may interact with amiodarone, rifampin, certain anticonvulsants, and other medications affecting liver enzymes. Inform your doctor of all prescription drugs, over-the-counter products, and supplements you are taking.

Missed dose

If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember. Do not take extra doses to make up for a missed dose. Continue the regular schedule.

Overdose

Overdose may cause nausea, vomiting, fatigue, or liver enzyme abnormalities. Seek immediate medical attention if overdose is suspected.

Storage

Store Natdac at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight. Keep tablets in the original container and out of reach of children.
